FANTASY FOOTBALL DEFENSES/SPECIAL TEAMS TO TARGET

Number 15 – Seattle Seahawks

2018 Fantasy Points Ranking: Tied-8th

2018 Points Allowed Ranking: 11th

Typically the Seattle Seahawks are ranked towards the top of the pack, not in the middle of the pack, but since the “Legion of Boom” started their decline, the Seahawks defense has slowly been creeping away from the top of the pack.

This offseason they lost three more key players on the defensive side of the ball. This included their last two remaining members of the Legion of Boom in Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor and their 2018 sack leader, Frank Clark, who was traded to the Chiefs. With these losses, it is reasonable to expect at least a small step backward for Seattle’s defense.

A top ten finish in defense/special teams points in fantasy football is probably unlikely and shouldn’t be expected again this season, but it would be surprising to see them fall much past the middle of the pack.

They do still have a lot going for them with a defense that should remain pretty solid, a great coaching staff, and a speedy returner in Tyler Lockett holding it down for the special teams, so they are still a fairly safe bet to land in the top 15.
