FANTASY FOOTBALL DEFENSES/SPECIAL TEAMS TO TARGET

Number 5 – Minnesota Vikings

2018 Fantasy Points Ranking: 6th

2018 Points Allowed Ranking: 9th

The Vikings have a defense of very few weaknesses. They have a great pass rush, which finished tied for third in team sacks and one of the more deep secondaries in the league. They do have a very expensive team right now, so it is possible that they trade one or two guys, but if this defense stays as is, this will be a great D/ST fantasy option.

Minnesota did lose some depth at safety, but even with these losses, this is still one of the deeper secondaries in the league. This team shouldn’t miss a beat. Expect a very similar defense as last season for the Vikings.

Last year, the Vikings were ninth in points allowed and sixth in fantasy points. Having them ranked fifth is a little better than where they finished last year, but due to other teams falling and the Vikings remaining mostly intact, a fantasy point total around where they finished last year or maybe even a little higher seems like a pretty realistic scenario.
