FANTASY FOOTBALL DEFENSES/SPECIAL TEAMS TO TARGET

Number 7 – Tennessee Titans

2018 Fantasy Points Ranking: 11th

2018 Points Allowed Ranking: 3rd

The Titans actually allowed the third fewest points last season and finished with the 11th highest fantasy points total for D/ST last season. New head coach Mike Vrabel seems to be running a defensive-minded football team with a run-first offense, similar to that of the Baltimore Ravens, who I mentioned earlier.

A defense that plays well coupled with an offense that runs the ball and chews time off the clock usually make for a solid fantasy D/ST option. This ranking could be a great D/ST value pick, as it seems like the Titans could go under the radar as far as D/ST fantasy drafts go.

The base of most fantasy leagues’ D/ST scoring is points allowed, so having a team that doesn’t allow many points and then has a secondary like Tennessee has it could end up being one of the better fantasy D/ST in the league.

Malcolm Butler, Adoree Jackson, and Kevin Byard (who actually has the most interceptions in the NFL over the past two seasons) make up one of the better secondaries in the league and could amount to numerous interceptions for your fantasy team.
