Top plays of the opening weekend of Training Camp

  • The best play of the weekend was one that I didn’t even realize how great it was at first. It looked like Mahomes almost overthrew Cody Thompson in the wide receiver drills and that Thompson barely got to the ball for the grab, but turns out he made a one-handed grab on the play, which I didn’t even notice in real-time.
  • Dorian O’Daniel had a pick to end the two-minute drill against the second unit on Sunday.
  • Mark Fields also had a good diving pass break up on Sunday.
  • On Saturday, Byron Pringle made a nice grab over Dakari Monroe on the sideline off of a great pass from Mahomes.
  • Deon Yelder made an interesting catch on Saturday. It’s hard to tell if he was diving for the catch or falling, but either way, it was impressive. He also had a bad drop on Sunday, however.
  • Hill, Watkins, and Kelce also each had numerous great plays throughout the weekend, but there were too many of them to pick from.
