Mecole Hardman shows his work ethic

One of my personal favorite observations from camp was one that went unnoticed to most and maybe even looked like a negative observation to some. This observation involved new Chiefs rookie Mecole Hardman.

So Hardman had some difficulties on special teams fielding punts and kicks this weekend, which is what most people saw as a negative, but what went unnoticed was the fact that he was one of the first few players on the field Sunday fielding punt after punt after punt. This was a very satisfying sight as a Chiefs fan.

There is no such thing as a perfect football player (although Mahomes is very close), so a player has to be willing to put the work in if he wants to be great.

Even as a young rookie, this shows some a lot of maturity from Hardman. He made some mistakes this weekend sure, but so did a lot of guys and Hardman was the one out on the field well before most of his teammates working to improve on his mistakes.
