The Raiders are a team that have a chance to play decent football in 2019.

Adding three first round picks and Antonio Brown in one offseason should infuse this team with a bunch of talent. It may take some time for the pieces to mesh, but look for Oakland to start coming together late in the season and potentially hopping to the Hopeful tier.

Detroit is a team that just is not a threat. Some of their players are good, like Matthew Stafford, Kenny Golladay and Darius Slay. Top to bottom, the talent just isn’t there. The Lions simply do not have the offense to keep up with the Chiefs in a track meet or the pieces on defense to slow them down.

The same can’t be said for Jacksonville.

The Jaguars still have some studs on defense. Jalen Ramsey is a dog and can change a game. That wont mattering much in the grand scheme of things though.

As much as the legend of Nick Foles paints the picture of him being elite, that simply isn’t true. He may offer an upgrade over Blake Bortles, but Foles still isn’t going to beat a Mahomes led team with so few pieces on offense around him.

Expect the Chiefs to make a statement Week One against the Jags and against the rest of these Pretender teams.
