ROOKIES WHO CAN CONTRIBUTE IN 2019

NUMBER 2 – MECOLE HARDMAN

There’s talk that Tyreek Hill‘s suspension might not be for as long as people were expecting, but Hill could still miss up to four games. If that happens, Mecole Hardman‘s role becomes much more important for the KC Chiefs.

Hardman’s stats with Georgia last year weren’t necessarily eye popping, but he did find the end zone seven times. The Chiefs need that kind of red zone production, especially if Hill misses time to start the year.

Sammy Watkins will have to be the WR1 for the Chiefs during that time, but with his injury history, Hardman is going to have to up the ante. Demarcus Robinson should be able to provide an offensive spark, but Hardman was taken in the second round for a reason.

If nothing else, Hardman will heavily contribute on special teams in 2019. The hope obviously is that he’s an impact player on offense as well.
