POTENTIAL TRAP GAMES FOR MIZZOU FOOTBALL IN 2019

NUMBER 2 – OLE MISS

The Tigers haven’t faced Ole Miss since the 2013 season and it was a win for the black and gold. They’ll host the Rebels this year and while Ole Miss lost a lot of talent to the NFL and graduation this past year, they still post “trap game” potential for Mizzou.

Ole Miss had to replace Jordan Ta’amu as well as three top-notch receivers (one of which being D.K. Metcalf, who went in the third round to the Seahawks), which obviously makes their offense a little less scary. With that said, however, they’re welcoming in Matt Corral, who was a top high school recruit and could be one of the more surprising quarterbacks in 2019.

While the Rebels can probably hang with MU throughout the first half of this game, the Tigers should be able to breakaway in blowout fashion in the second half.

Still – Don’t write off Ole Miss just because they lost some talent. Corral could be the real deal at quarterback and this is a program that has been able to overcome odds over the years.
