The Kansas City Royals are long out of playoff contention and that means they’ll be taking calls from other teams on possible trades. What Royals rumors could we be hearing over the next few weeks?

It’s almost time for Royals rumors and “hug watch” in Major League Baseball! For those of you who aren’t familiar with the term “hug watch”, it’s as simple as it sounds. Players will be seen hugging their teammates after they learn they’ve been traded.

The Kansas City Royals will see their fair share of hugs this trade deadline. That’s what being 25 games under .500 will do to you this time of year.

The Royals will obviously be on the “sell” side of things over the next few weeks, but who will be on their selling list? The team has a lot of players on one-year contracts, making those the easiest guys to part ways with.

On the other hand, there are some players with more than one year left on their deals that could be shipped off to another team as well. So, which players are the most likely to be dealt in the coming weeks?

Let’s take a look.
