The AFC West is full of talented wide receivers and Kansas City Chiefs fans know this all too well. How would the rankings of AFC West wide receivers look?

Continuing on with our “Ranking AFC West positions” series, it’s time to take a look at the wide receivers in the division. I debated doing the wide receiver corps as a whole, but decided to just do the number one option instead.

That means these rankings will be between Tyreek Hill of the Kansas City Chiefs, Keenan Allen of the Los Angeles Chargers, Emmanuel Sanders of the Denver Broncos, and Antonio Brown of the Oakland Raiders.

So, how do the rankings shape up? Let’s take a look, starting from worst to first.

RANKING AFC WEST WIDE RECEIVERS

NUMBER 4 – EMMANUEL SANDERS

This was tough because Emmanuel Sanders is a really good receiver, but somebody had to be fourth and in this case, it’s Sanders. The Broncos number one wideout suffered from mediocre quarterback play last year, which didn’t help his cause here.

Sanders tore his Achilles 12 games into the 2018 season and still ended up totaling 71 receptions for 868 yards and four touchdowns. He was outplayed by Courtland Sutton down the stretch, but again… Sanders did miss the end of the year due to injury.

Another reason why Sanders is ranked fourth is because he’s 32 years old. Receivers can play into their 30s, but the drop-off definitely becomes more evident.

Emmanuel Sanders is still a great wide receiver, but compared to the other three options on this list, he’s the one fans would least likely want as their WR1.
