The KC Chiefs found great value by drafting Juan Thornhill late in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. What is the best case scenario and worst case scenario for the Virginia Cavalier?

It shouldn’t come as a shock that the Kansas City Chiefs had one of the worst pass defenses in the league last year. Just watching the team play, opposing offenses had their way with the Chiefs though the air and it was upsetting to watch.

While the Chiefs didn’t tackle the cornerback position as much as they should have this offseason, they did add some much needed help at safety. That was important too, as Eric Berry was released after disappointing mightily the last two years.

The Chiefs went out and signed Tyrann Mathieu and later drafted Juan Thornhill out of Virginia. The hope is that Thornhill can learn a lot from the Honey Badger and the two become a shutdown duo at the safety position.

So, with all of that said, what is the best case scenario and worst case scenario for Juan Thornhill as a rookie? Let’s take a gander.
