Though the draft has completed, trades have been made, and the free agency class has been picked over, the National Football League’s offseason rages on, especially for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Just days ago, the Kansas City Chiefs made yet another trade, this time acquiring linebacker Darron Lee from the New York Jets.
And though the bulk of worthy free agents have been signed, numerous quality veterans remain available. As the Chiefs trade for Lee shows, teams are still trying to improve rosters to find, perhaps, a diamond in the rough, or at least someone serviceable who can help the team.
Bearing that last sentiment in mind, for the rest of this article I’m going to take a look at five available free agents that could fill roster holes for the Kansas City Chiefs. Before the Chiefs landed Lee, I had outlined a portion of this article to talk about linebackers. But now, I’ll focus on three offensive positions and just two on the defensive side of things.
For reference regarding the roster holes, I’m using fellow KC Kingdom contributor Shade Piper’s latest prediction for the team’s 53-man roster:
My predictions for the #Chiefs 53-Man Roster. What do you think #ChiefsKingdom? There were some guys I went back and forth on here so don't beat up on me too bad. pic.twitter.com/tPQzrz9z8w

Let’s start on offense, shall we?
