KC Chiefs: Grading each AFC West team’s 2019 offseason

With the conclusion of the 2019 NFL Draft, the KC Chiefs have all but wrapped up the large portion of the offseason in which they would acquire meaningful players. Same goes for every other team in the league.

And so it feels like the best time to grade the offseasons for Kansas City Chiefs‘ divisional opponents in the AFC West.

Now, there will undoubtedly be more cuts and additions to each team’s roster before the pre-season begins. And then, of course, massive cuts will occur as each team pares down its roster from 90 to 53. But with trades (such as they are in the NFL), free agency, and the draft completed, it’s easier to reflect upon the moves made by every team.

Here, I’m going to take a look at the Denver Broncos’, Oakland Raiders’, and Los Angeles Chargers’ offseasons, grading them while I’m at it. The AFC West, won by the Kansas City Chiefs in each of the last three seasons, saw all four of its teams improve.

But by how much?

Let’s start by taking a look at Kansas City’s closest geographical rival, the Denver Broncos.
