Kansas City Chiefs: 10 UDFA signings who can make 53-man roster

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif may not be the lone Canadian offensive lineman for the Chiefs much longer. Maurice Simba, who was actually born in Congo, moved to Canada at the age of 18 and it was there that he was first introduced to football, according to Douglas Gelevan of CBC News.
He has only been playing football for six years but at 6’8″ and 320 pounds, he has the physical gifts that were hard to pass up. He could be a little bit of a project, but the Chiefs have shown the willingness to take on offensive lineman projects last year.
They drafted defensive tackle Kahlil McKenzie in last year’s draft with the intentions of making him into an offensive lineman. Simba should be less of a project than McKenzie was, so maybe they would be likely to give him a shot as well.
Offensive linemen are hard to get excited about for the most part, but this kid’s story and his size makes him a hard prospect not to get a little giddy over. The Chiefs are in need of offensive line depth this year so if he proves that he is more than just a big body he could find himself on the 53-man roster.
