KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Last, but not least, we have the Kansas City Chiefs, who had six selections in the 2019 NFL Draft. They traded away their first rounder in exchange for Frank Clark of the Seahawks and that left them with three picks in the top 100.

The Chiefs sent a pretty clear message about what the future has in store for Tyreek Hill, drafting what appears to be his replacement in Mecole Hardman. Hardman is a speedy receiver, who provides an instant playmaker for Patrick Mahomes.

The Chiefs spent their next three picks on defensive players, with two adding secondary depth. Juan Thornhill could be a starter come week one and he and Tyrann Mathieu could give the Chiefs a beastly safety duo for years to come.

While adding a backup tight end would have been nice, the Chiefs hit most of their positions that needed help and it’s hard to fault them for much else in this draft.
