POSITIONS TO ADDRESS ON DAY 3 – TIGHT END

Tight end might not be as important to some, but if Travis Kelce were to miss time for any reason (knock on wood please), the Chiefs would be in deep doo doo. They signed Blake Bell over the offseason, but considering he’s on his fourth team in five years, that’s probably not something to jump for joy over.

The Chiefs need a backup tight end, or at least a third stringer. Fortunately for them, this year’s draft class is loaded at the tight end position.

Again, the Chiefs don’t pick until round six (assuming they don’t trade up, which is definitely a possibility), so names like Foster Moreau and Kaden Smith should be long gone. Some options that could be hanging out in the later rounds are Zach Gentry of Michigan, Kano Dillon of Oregon, and local guy Kendall Blanton out of Missouri.

Kelce needs a viable backup, so the Chiefs should strongly consider spending one of their remaining picks on him.
