2018 NFL Draft: KC Kingdom Mock Draft

Round 1: Pick 18 – Minnesota Vikings (John McCarty)

. Offensive Lineman. Oklahoma. Cody Ford. 18. player. 60

The Vikings could use all the help they can get solidifying the offensive line, and perhaps no player and team in the middle of the first round have been linked more than Cody Ford and the Minnesota Vikings. Ford likely begins his career with the Vikings at guard and perhaps the team tries him out at tackle later, but his athleticism and size are ideal at guard.

Having Kirk Cousins as the quarterback and a strong stable of receivers to go with a developing running game, controlling the line of scrimmage is important. Ford is likely an immediate starter for the Vikings at guard and performs at a high level.

Staff Reaction: Minnesota needs plenty of help on the offensive line, and the versatile Ford, with experience at guard and tackle, provides relief. He’ll start immediately—somewhere. – Cullen
