How concerned are you about:

Byron Murphy poor 40 time

A little, because cornerback is a stopwatch position. If a 4.3 receiver gains a step, Murphy’s 4.55 speed won’t be able to close the gap. But I’m a believer in Murphy’s instincts, toughness and ball skills. He’s a first round player.

Greedy Williams’ tackling/effort?

Anyone who says they aren’t concerned needs to watch his November 2018 tape after the Alabama game. He shut things down and left production all over the field. And it’s easy to say, “he didn’t have anything to play for and was saving himself for the draft, avoiding injury.” But you can’t turn it on and off in the NFL. You have to trust that your guys are going to fight, regardless of circumstances.

Noah Fant blocking

He’s an average blocker – not great, not poor. He can execute assignments and he flashes toughness as a finisher. His athleticism and receiving skills will get him drafted in the first round, but his blocking won’t restrict him at the next level.

Marquise Brown foot

You have to be concerned to a degree because he is 166 pounds and durability is questionable. However, his foot specifically isn’t a huge concern for me because he has easy burst and doesn’t need to put a ton of pressure on his foot to create that explosion.

Josh Oliver’s ability to contribute as a rookie

I don’t expect Oliver to have a Rookie of the Year type of season, but it all depends on where he lands. He can be as good as his volume, it will just be a matter of impressive the coaches in practice to see in-game reps. He has starting potential, but I bet we won’t see that until year two – it just depends where he lands.
