ROUND 3: PICK 28 (92ND OVERALL)

After a year with Louisiana-Monroe in 2015, Ben Banogu took his talents to Fort Worth and joined the Horned Frogs for the rest of his college eligibility. He did well with TCU, racking up 112 tackles (34.5 for loss), 17 sacks, and five forced fumbles in his two years in purple.

Banogu would be an interesting pick and some might think this was a bit of a reach on the Chiefs’ end. He has a true boom or bust type of potential as a third round selection, but if the payoff goes as planned, he could be a special player.

His 17.5 sacks in two seasons at TCU catch the eye for sure and with the Chiefs not having many pass rushers on their roster now, this is the type of production the team could use moving forward. He might take a season to really come into his own, but Ben Banogu could be a nice third round pick for Kansas City.

What analysts are saying:

"Played in a very gap-disciplined defense at TCU, Banogu wasn’t necessarily allowed to roam free as an aggressive pass rusher, which has stunted some of his growth. In a new, more aggressive environment, Banogu could develop in time to be a high impact pass rusher. -Kyle Crabbs, The Draft Network"
