The 2019 regular season schedule was released on Wednesday night and the Kansas City Chiefs have themselves an exciting schedule. What were the biggest takeaways from the schedule release?

The Kansas City Chiefs had a season for the ages in 2018 and fans are expecting an even better season in 2019. Their schedule and path to the Super Bowl for the 2019 season has now been revealed. Let’s take a look at some takeaways from the 2019 regular season schedule.

FIRST TWO GAMES ON THE ROAD… AGAIN

While the KC Chiefs have played their season opener on the road the last two (now three) years, last year they played their first two games on the road. That’s the case again in 2019, as the Chiefs will travel to Jacksonville in week one and then the Raiders in week two at whatever city they’re playing in this season.

Any time a team is playing away from home they’re at a disadvantage, and back to back weeks on the road make that even more difficult. The Jaguars and Raiders are beatable teams and the Chiefs should win both, but back to back road games to kick things off is brutal.
