Kansas City Chiefs: 2019 NFL Draft Board Version 3

Second Round Options who have Visited the Chiefs (Continued)
“The Juans.” Joejuan Williams, Cornerback (Vanderbilt) and Juan Thornhill, Safety (Virginia)
Both of “the Juans,” as I am calling them, have had a top-30 visit with the Chiefs according to ChiefsWire. Both are guys who I hadn’t really did any digging or scouting on until I saw that they received a visit with the Chiefs.
Thornhill is a player that I have really jumped on board with as of late. Versatility is a huge bonus especially as a younger player. Having a cornerback background, he has great coverage skills and could possibly play some snaps at the cornerback position if needed, but he will have most of his success at safety. He has the ball skills and athletic abilities that could make him a great free safety to pair with Tyrann Mathieu.
Williams is another guy who is growing on me. I talked about size with Lonnie Johnson, but this guy is even bigger. Standing at 6’4″, he would tower over a lot of receivers even in the NFL. Williams has a lot of similar concerns as Lonnie Johnson, but if he can improve his coverage abilities and ball skills to add to his big body, he could be a great second round selection as well.
Andy Isabella, Wide Receiver (UMass)
Wide Receiver isn’t a huge need for the Chiefs, but Isabella did have a work out with the Chiefs, so he’s definitely on the Chiefs’ list of possible second round targets. Although not a huge need, it is fun to imagine Isabella and his blistering speed lining up with Sammy Watkins and Tyreek Hill. He actually ended up in my last Chiefs Draft Board just because of how exciting I thought this wide receiver core could be to watch play together on Sundays.
