CHIEFS AS AVENGERS – SAMMY WATKINS AS SPIDER-MAN

Sammy Watkins is a freak of an athlete. The same could be said for Spider-Man, who is one of the coolest Avengers. My reasoning for pairing Watkins as Spider-Man is a bit of a weird one, but bare with me here.

Spider-Man has had three different eras in the movie world, one with Tobey McGuire playing him in the early to mid 2000s, the next starring Andrew Garfield in the early 2010s and currently, we’re fortunate to have Tom Holland playing Peter Parker.

Sammy Watkins relates in that he’s played for three different franchises. He was drafted by the Bills, where he played for the first four years of his career and people thought he’d be a star there (people expected the original Spider-Man series to go longer than three movies).

His next pitstop was a year in Los Angeles with the Rams. The second installment of Spider-Man (The Amazing Spider-Man) only went two films before it was canceled and they moved onto the next saga.

Lastly, Watkins ended up in Kansas City with the Chiefs. The current Spider-Man series is still new to us, so we don’t know fully what to expect yet, but it’s exciting! The same could be said for Watkins, who had a nice first year with the Chiefs, but we’re still waiting to see what his legacy will be.

This was definitely one of my more creative pairings, but it makes perfect sense when you think about it!
