CHIEFS AS AVENGERS – PATRICK MAHOMES AS CAPTAIN AMERICA

This is one of the more obvious ones on the list. Who else is going to be Captain America other than the MVP quarterback: the man, the myth, the legend Patrick Mahomes?!

Captain America is the leader of the Avengers, just like Mahomes is the leader of the Kansas City Chiefs. That’s the role that comes with being the quarterback of an NFL team. Both Mahomes and Steve Rogers were born to be leaders.

Mahomes took the reigns of the offense in 2018 and went on a tear to start the year, throwing left-handed passes, no look passes, and eventually topping 5,000+ yards and 50 touchdowns in his first year as a starter in the league.

Chiefs fans feel confident in their team because Mahomes is the captain and that’s how the world feels knowing Captain America is leading the Avengers. He might not have been able to stop Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, but hopefully that changes in Avengers: Endgame.

Relating that to football, Mahomes wasn’t able to top the Patriots this past season, but we’re all optimistic that will change in the 2019 season. Both moments will be awesome when they do happen.
