CHIEFS AS AVENGERS – ANDY REID AS NICK FURY

This is an easy connection, as Andy Reid is the leader of the Kansas City Chiefs while Nick Fury is the leader of the Avengers, and formerly was the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. While Fury hasn’t been in every Avengers movie, it’s hard not to think of him when thinking of the group, much like it’s hard to not think of Reid when someone mentions the Chiefs.

Reid has been the fearless leader of the Chiefs since 2013 when he came to Kansas City after having been fired by the Eagles. Since then, he’s led the organization to the playoffs in all but one season (and the one season they missed the postseason, the Chiefs still had a winning record) and has completely changed this franchise for the good.

Fury is one of the more interesting characters in Avengers, due to the amount of films he’s appeared in and how far back he goes with the characters (he’s great in the most recent MCU flick Captain Marvel). He is the one who pages Captain Marvel at the end of Avengers: Infinity War and that, in turn, could save everyone from Thanos.

Reid saved the Chiefs from falling even further into irrelevancy and Kansas City will never take him from granted, just like the Avengers won’t take Nick Fury for granted.
