Mizzou football had a nice year in 2018 and now the program will see several talented prospects graduate and head to the NFL after having success in Columbia.

The Missouri Tigers had a respectable year in 2018 and while the hope is that the program continues to improve under head coach Barry Odom, Mizzou football has six players who could very well hear their name called come draft weekend. That’s a big accomplishment right there.

So, who are these six potential future NFL players? Let’s take a look, beginning with the later picks and working our way to the higher selected players.

KENDALL BLANTON – TIGHT END

This year’s tight end class is a strong one, which means Kendall Blanton might be lucky to hear his name called on Day 3. The MU tight end didn’t put up great stats during his time in Columbia, hauling in just 44 receptions for 476 yards and six touchdowns in three years at the helm.

Blanton isn’t going to be a star in the NFL, at least not right off the bat. Whatever team takes him will need to do so with the idea of developing him over the span of a few years. He has potential to be a great player due to his athleticism, but he won’t be anything more than a third-string tight end to start off.

What analysts are saying:

"If you were going to create a tight end in Madden, he would probably look exactly like Blanton. If you were going to draft a tight end in real life, he would probably play very little like Blanton. –The Draft Network"
