WILMINGTON BLUE ROCKS

Most diehard Royals fans will be paying close attention to the Wilmington Blue Rocks, who have 11 of the Royals top 30 prospects on their roster. That’s a lot of talent that could be helping our beloved Royals in the next few years!

Brady Singer is the name everyone will be fixating on the most, as he’s the top prospect for the organization and was their first round pick last year. Royals fans got to watch both Singer and Blue Rocks/Florida teammate Jackson Kowar pitch in the College World Series last year, which was exciting.

Kowar pitched in the minors last year and looked pretty darn good. Singer did not throw at all after the College World Series wrapped up, but fans will get to see him dazzle in Wilmington this year.

Daniel Lynch is another enticing prospect and had a hell of a season in 2018. He had an ERA of 1.58 between two different teams and looked to be everything the Royals expected when they drafted him with their third selection last year.

The other big names in Wilmington are Melendez, Pratto, and Matias, all considered to be top ten prospects. Pratto was the team’s first round pick in 2017 and he could be the second-coming of Eric Hosmer (which is probably why the team took him).

Out of all of the minor league teams, the Wilmington Blue Rocks are the squad to watch this year because they’ve got one hell of a roster!
