Kansas City Chiefs: Five games most likely to be in primetime in 2019
POTENTIAL PRIMETIME GAMES IN 2019
NUMBER 2 – LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
The Chargers were finally able to defeat the Chiefs after going 0-9 in their last nine attempts. LA matched KC’s 12-4 record, but due to how the playoff seedings are formatted, the Chargers had to play in the Wild Card round and be on the road throughout their run. They ultimately lost to the Patriots in the Divisional Round.
Chiefs fans know all too well that the Chargers are the team everyone picks to be “THE TEAM” in the AFC West. Most years, it all implodes and the Chargers end up as one of the meh teams in the league. Last year, those predictions finally came to fruition.
Philip Rivers has a few years left in the tank and he played some of his best football last year. He and the Chargers looked dead in the water on that Thursday night game at Arrowhead last year, but they battled back down 14 points and won the game in the final seconds.
This would most definitely be a Thursday Night Football match-up, don’t you think? Those tend to be between divisional rivals and after last year’s last second drama, this would be the no-brainer match-up to have out of the AFC West for Thursday night ball.
