The Kansas City Chiefs know their 2019 opponents, but not when they’ll be playing each foe. Which games are the most likely to be under the bright lights of primetime?

It seemed like the Kansas City Chiefs were constantly in primetime last season and why wouldn’t they be? They had the eventual MVP in Patrick Mahomes, who led an electric offense each and every week. Having a quarterback like Mahomes nearly guarantees a team at least a few primetime games throughout the course of the season.

This year, on top of Mahomes returning for his second year as a starter, the Chiefs have some intriguing opponents on their schedule. Which games are the most likely ones to be on primetime at some point? Here are my best guesses.

POTENTIAL PRIMETIME GAMES IN 2019

NUMBER 5 – KANSAS CITY CHIEFS VS GREEN BAY PACKERS

The Chiefs face the NFC North this year, meaning they’ll see the Packers, Vikings, Lions, and Bears on their schedule. The last time the Chiefs faced the NFC North, they played the Packers at Lambeau and it was on Monday Night Football early in the season.

I could see a similar slot for these two teams in 2019. The game will be played at Arrowhead this time around, which isn’t as exciting to some as Lambeau (though I beg to differ), but each team has an electric quarterback and that’s what people care about these days.

The Chiefs and Packers played in the very first Super Bowl, which is another reason these two are destined for a primetime spot. It might not be a Sunday Night Football-type match-up, but it could definitely be a Monday Night Football type of game.
