The most recent 2019 NFL Mock Draft has the KC Chiefs simply going with the best player on the board in each round. Which players did the Chiefs end up drafting this time around?

Every year around draft season, you’ll hear general managers say things like “We’ll take the best player available” and other similar cliches. What if the Kansas City Chiefs did take the best player available in the 2019 NFL Draft? This recent 2019 NFL Mock Draft goes down that path.

As always, I used Fanspeak’s mock draft simulator, which is a cool tool for draft nerds like myself. While I went into it planning to take the best player available whenever the Chiefs were on the clock, there were some exceptions.

One of the main ones was that if I had already taken a player at a position that wasn’t a HUGE need, then only one player would be taken at that position. Running back was one where I ran into that situation.

One had been selected and then the next round, the best available player was another running back. There’s no way the Chiefs would select multiple running backs, so I wasn’t even going to remedy that.

So, who did the KC Chiefs select in the 2019 NFL Mock Draft? Let’s take a look.
