Kansas City Chiefs: 2019 NFL Draft Board Version 2

Targets for the Chiefs in the Middle-Late Rounds of the Draft – Continued
Andrew Wingard, Safety (Wyoming)
As I highlighted in my last Chiefs draft board, Andrew Wingard had an incredible career at Wyoming. He lacks elite speed, but is very smart, works hard, has excellent instincts, and is a great run stopper.
To me he is a younger, more athletic version of Daniel Sorensen. He probably wouldn’t come right in and start alongside Tyrann Mathieu, but he could rotate in on defense as a backup and be an excellent special teams contributor. I would be very happy with the Chiefs spending their seventh rounder on him.
Marquis Young, Running Back (UMass)
When I heard the Chiefs were attending UMass’ Pro-Day, I was excited because I thought they were there for Andy Isabella. They may have planned to come to get a look at Isabella, but according to reports, they ended up spending time with Marquis Young.
Young is a four-year player out of UMass and was one game short last season from having four straight 1,000 yard rushing seasons. He has good size and speed and the production is definitely there. If his production can translate to the NFL, he would be a great seventh round flyer or even an undrafted free agent signing.
