Targets for the Chiefs’ Second Round Pick – Continued

Andy Isabella, Wide Receiver (UMass)

Andy Isabella to the Chiefs is probably not the most likely scenario, but it is fun to imagine. Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, and Andy Isabella would, without a doubt, be the fastest receiver corp in the NFL.

Isabella ran a blazing 4.31 second 40-yard dash. He would be an excellent slot receiver, as well as a vertical threat. He does have a small frame, but so does Tyreek Hill and that’s worked out pretty well for the Chiefs.

Patrick Mahomes‘ cannon of an arm would constantly be on display with both Tyreek Hill and Andy Isabella. It would be almost impossible to guard both of them at the same time. If the Chiefs’ defensive targets are gone by the time their second round picks get to them this could be a very fun option to make an already lethal offense that much better.

Julian Love, Cornerback (Notre Dame)

Julian Love started off the college football season considered by many to be the top cornerback prospect. He has since fallen to a second round target. The concerns with Love are his speed, size, and physicality. This might limit his ceiling a little, but he is very intelligent and disciplined with great instincts.

This gives Love a pretty high floor, which makes him a safe pick in the second round. If the Chiefs don’t select a cornerback in the first round and Rock Ya-Sin is gone before either of the Chiefs’ two second round selections, I would be very happy seeing Julian Love as a Chief next season.
