Can Chiefs find a gem in the undrafted ranks, and who might that be?

Nate Brooks, Cornerback, North Texas

Brooks is a solid athlete from the smaller D1 ranks of Conference USA for the up and coming North Texas football program. After recording six interceptions as a senior, Brooks has the potential to make an NFL roster and while he needs time refining technique, his athleticism and ball skills could earn him a spot on an NFL roster, either this season or next.

Jordan Brown, Cornerback, South Dakota State

Good size and quality athleticism coming from the Missouri Valley conference, Brown is a prospect that certainly could go higher. Brown has good size and is a good athlete plus he has the tools teams look for to develop late round type players. Acclimating from the D2 level may take a year, but could be solid depth.

Duke Shelley, Cornerback, Kansas State

Undersized cornerback from local program, Duke Shelley was the Wildcats’ best cornerback in an extended period of time but is available both due to his lack of height and a season ending injury during his senior season. Shelley recorded eight interceptions during his career and was K-State’s primary kick returner while he was active as a senior. He could be solid depth if he’s recovered from his leg injury.
