Daniel Wise, Defensive Tackle, Kansas

Daniel Wise is a prototypical 4-3 defensive tackle with good size and athleticism for a football program that for the past five years has been the standard bearer of awful. All that said, Wise has good athleticism and showed himself well in the Shrine Bowl during the draft evaluation process.

Wise plays with good effort and pad level and has a good first step. His brother (Deatrich) plays for the Patriots. The Chiefs likely address depth along their defensive interior and Wise could be an interesting and intriguing option as a three technique tackle in the Chiefs new defensive scheme.

Tytus Howard, Offensive Tackle, Alabama State

Tytus Howard landed at Alabama State as a tight end and eventually moved to offensive tackle and has been a starter at the smaller level school at that point. After a solid senior bowl, Howard is a player that makes a lot of sense for the Chiefs as a developmental tackle and perhaps someone that can play on that coveted left side as a second year player.

Technique and acclimation to the speed of the NFL likely limits Howard’s potential as a starter in his first season. If the Chiefs believe he can be a future starter at left tackle, he would be someone the Chiefs should seriously consider.
