ROUND 5: PICK 29 (167TH OVERALL)

This would be an absolute steal for the Kansas City Chiefs. Bryce Love was a Heisman Trophy candidate and won the Pac 12 Offensive Player of the Year award as a junior in 2017 yet opted to return to school for his senior season.

Sadly, that ended up being a mistake for Love, as he didn’t even come close to his production that he put up the year prior. Not only that, but he was injured and that’s what likely caused him to slip to the fifth round in this mock draft.

The Chiefs would be ELATED if Love fell to them in round five because this kid can play. He had over 2,100 rushing yards in 2017 and ran into the end zone 19 times. He’s not much of a threat in the passing game, but the Chiefs still have Damien Williams who can fill that void.

Love could get healthy as a rookie in 2019 and then be able to contribute in 2020, which would also be the final year of Williams’ extension. From there, maybe it’s Love and Darryl Williams who handle carrying the rock for the Chiefs over the next few years.

Injured or not, if Bryce Love is sitting there at pick 167 for the Kansas City Chiefs, TAKE HIM PLEASE.
