Mack Wilson, Alabama

The Alabama prospect is built similarly to White, standing at 6’1″ and weighing 238 pounds. Mack Wilson finished his 2018 season with 71 tackles with five passes deflected, two interceptions and five tackles for loss. Most mocks have Wilson as a second-day selection, making him a more realistic pick for Kansas City.

According to thedraftnetwork.com, Wilson isn’t nearly as explosive as Devin White but has the ability to run and hit. They continue on saying,

"Too many misses in space, over-pursuing opponents and failing to throttle down and square up. has good strength to get runners down when he grips them up, his bigger issue is losing before he even attempts the tackle, either by taking a bad angle or failing to break down in space."

Sounds like he would’ve fit right into Bob Sutton’s scheme last season.

The third-year junior out of Alabama seems like a project and isn’t exactly what the Chiefs need at the position. Wilson is still a top prospect at his position and I wouldn’t be surprised to see that the Chiefs have shown interest when the Combine starts later this week.
