HOMER BAILEY

The Kansas City Royals inked Homer Bailey to a minor league deal a few weeks ago in a move where they literally have nothing to lose. Even with that being the case, Bailey’s on his last leg as an MLB pitcher.

After missing all of 2018 due to injury, Bailey is being given a chance by the Royals. If he goes out there and bombs in Spring Training, his career could be in jeopardy.

If, however, Bailey pitches decently, he’ll either get a chance to pitch for the Royals in the regular season or with another team. We saw Clay Buchholz do well for the Royals last season on a minor league deal and Homer Bailey could see similar success.

Bailey needs to have a good Spring Training because if he doesn’t, his career very well could be finished before the 2019 season even begins.
