TIGHT END OPTIONS IN FREE AGENCY

NUMBER 3 – GEOFF SWAIM

After spending the first four years of his career in Dallas with the Cowboys, Geoff Swaim is hitting free agency. The Cowboys had a lot of tight end issues this past season, but Swaim was one of the more productive ones.

He finished 2018 with 26 receptions for 242 yards and one touchdown in nine starts. He’s not a game changing tight end, but considering the Chiefs only need a backup, Swaim would be an affordable option and wouldn’t have the pressure of having to be a starter.

Geoff Swaim spent most of his time in Dallas not even on the radar and he finally saw playing time last year. Having to split snaps with so many other tight ends definitely hurt his production, but it’d be just him and Kelce in KC.

This is a signing that could make a lot of sense for the Chiefs.
