Cincinnati Bengals

Pick: 11

Current Quarterback: Andy Dalton

After moving on from head coach Marvin Lewis after 16 seasons and zero playoff wins in seven chances, the Bengals seem to be looking more toward the future than the present. For their new head coach, they chose the young Zac Taylor, the Rams’ quarterback coach in 2018.

Now it’s time to move on from Andy Dalton.

Dalton has been the team’s starting quarterback since being taken in the second round in 2011. In that time, he’s gone 67-50-2 but 0-4 in the playoffs. After leading the Bengals to at least ten wins from 2012-2015, he’s topped out at seven wins the past three seasons. Additionally, he missed five games last year.

Quite simply, the 31 year-old former Horned Frog isn’t getting done. Eight years is enough without a playoff win. If Lock is still around when the 11th overall pick rolls around, Taylor and the Bengals should strongly consider taking him as Dalton’s heir apparent.
