Quarterback Drew Lock wrapped his Mizzou football career in December with a loss in the Liberty Bowl. Now, the projected first-round pick is preparing for the NFL Draft in April. What teams could take him?

A rarity in college football these days, Drew Lock started all four seasons for the same team (the Missouri Tigers) during his college career. In that time, he played for one season for the head coach that recruited him to Columbia, Gary Pinkel, and three for Pinkel’s successor, Barry Odom. Lock also played for three different offensive coordinators in Josh Henson, Josh Heupel, and Derek Dooley.

From 2015-218, Mizzou went 21-25 (11-20) in Lock’s starts. But that losing record doesn’t show the whole story. In Lock’s first two seasons, he went 6-14 (3-12). In his last two seasons, he went 15-11 (8-8). And despite the constant change around him, Lock finished second all-time in the SEC in passing yards (12,193) and third all-time in the SEC in touchdown passes (99).

Now, Lock looks to be one of the top three quarterbacks taken in this year’s draft alongside Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins and Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray. But which teams could pull the trigger on Lock?

In the following pages, I look at ten NFL teams that could potentially draft Lock in the first round. The teams all have quarterback issues of some sort, obviously.

Some are currently relying on underwhelming quarterbacks while others are starting guys who could ’em up in the next year or two. A couple of teams are in the precarious situation of having no viable option next year for the game’s most important position.

Finally, note that these teams are not ranked in order of likelihood that they draft Lock, but rather ordered pursuant to the draft position at which I think they could call Drew Lock to stand beside commissioner Roger Goodell.
