ROUND 2 – PICK 31 (63RD OVERALL)

At last, the Chiefs add a defensive player! They go with Germaine Pratt with their second selection in round two and this NC State linebacker could be an immediate contributor to the Chiefs defense.

The most eye popping stat for Pratt is the fact that he recorded 104 total tackles last season for the Wolf Pack. Ten of those were for loss, which goes to show that this kid can make plays. Pratt also recorded six sacks and defended three passes during his final season at NC State.

Pratt wasn’t a starter until this past season, but he made his presence known from the start. Even when he wasn’t starting for the Wolf Pack, he still made big time plays as a junior in 2017, grabbing game-winning interceptions on two separate occasions.

The Chiefs need a playmaker on defense and Germaine Pratt could definitely fit that mold.
