ROUND 2 – PICK 29 (61ST OVERALL)

This could be looked at as another shocking pick to some, as running back is easily a position that can be addressed in later rounds. Joshua Jacobs, however, is a first round talent and him falling this far in the draft would be a steal for the Chiefs.

Jacobs tore it up for the Crimson Tide in 2018, carrying the ball 120 times for 640 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also had 20 receptions for 247 yards and another three scores, giving him 14 total touchdowns last year.

The Chiefs aren’t desperate for a running back, but there is more need for the position now than there was this time a year ago. Damien Williams deserved his two-year extension, but drafting a running back is still a good move for the Chiefs. It’s a position where injuries pile up easily, so the more experienced ones you have on the roster, the better.

Also, Jacobs falling to round two would be big, so this would be a nice get for the Kansas City Chiefs.
