NUMBER 14 – WEEK 6 AT NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

It looked like Mahomes might finally be slowing down after a touchdown-less performance in week five and then struggling in the first half against the Patriots on Sunday Night Football.

Mahomes threw two ugly interceptions in the first half, one that came in Kansas City’s end zone and gave New England the ball back right before the half. For once, Mahomes looked human.

That ugly first half is why this game is near the bottom of the rankings. Yes, the Chiefs signal caller put up tremendous numbers in the second half, but the unproductive first half proved to be the difference.

He finished the night going 23 of 36 for 352 yards, four touchdowns, and the two picks that we already mentioned. With no help from his defense, Mahomes was forced to carry the team in the second half and the Chiefs came oh so close to knocking off the Pats in Foxborough.
