NUMBER 4 – WEEK 3 VS 49ERS
As we’ll remember the Ravens game for the no look pass and the Broncos game for the left-handed pass, the week three match-up against the 49ers will be remembered for Mahomes’ crazy scrambling and throwing the ball across his body for a touchdown.
You know the play.
The Chiefs were up 14-7 over San Francisco and Mahomes, on third and goal, scrambled around for what seemed like forever, before hitting Chris Conley in the back of the end zone for a touchdown. Not only did Mahomes keep the play alive, but he threw the ball across his body in the process. It was a hell of a play!
The Chiefs went on to win this game by double digits while Mahomes threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns. He didn’t throw an interception, which gave him a total of 13 touchdowns and zero picks through the first three weeks of the regular season.
That was only the beginning, but this outing against the Niners makes the list as Mahomes’ fourth best game of the season.
