DEFENSIVE TACKLE PROSPECTS – ROUND SEVEN

ARMON WATTS – ARKANSAS

When you get to the end of the draft, it can be hard to peg what player will be available.

Not to be confused with KC Chiefs safety Armani Watts, Armon Watts played for an Arkansas team that was atrocious this past season. The Razorbacks mustered two wins all season.

When that happens, players can slide as a result of their team’s poor performances. Watts has nice size and at times can impress though he is very inconsistent.

Watts has nice size at 6’5″ and 300 pounds and has some quickness, displaying an ability to cut up the field and penetrate the backfield. He has some nice lateral quickness and an ability to chase and gives solid effort.

However, at times, he appears to have little to no functional strength, especially in the upper body and doesn’t anchor very well when standing his ground. He at times can make plays but is inconsistent and has work to do.
