DEFENSIVE TACKLE PROSPECTS – ROUND SIX

ALBERT HUGGINS – CLEMSON

The unknown backup defensive tackle at Clemson that emerged due to Dexter Lawrence’s suspension during the playoffs, Albert Huggins indicates just how deep the Clemson defense is. He’d have been a starter almost anywhere else in the country, but instead was a backup for the eventual National Champions.

Huggins has good size for the position at 6’3″ and 315 pounds and, albeit limited opportunities, did record 7.5 career sacks and 13 tackles for loss during his career. As a rotational defensive tackle, Huggins provides great value as someone that can, at a minimum, provide solid rotational depth along the interior of the defensive line.

If the Chiefs opt against addressing the interior depth earlier in the draft, Huggins could be name that would interest the Chiefs as someone that could backup either tackle spot and likely help on some special teams units.

Huggins might be a player that is off the board long before the Chiefs get to this spot in the draft.
