Jake Bailey, Punter (Stanford)

Jake Bailey has a strong leg, averaging over 44 yards per kick over the past two seasons with Stanford. A draftable punter in the 2019 draft, Bailey would have to take the reins from long time punter Dustin Colquitt.

However, with the Chiefs facing salary cap issues and Colquitt poised to have a 3.5 million cap hit, the Chiefs can save a ton of money moving on from the veteran punter to the tune of 1.8 million in savings.

Another way to look at it, Jake Bailey will likely make in the total of his four-year contract while Dustin Colquitt is set to make in 2019. The Seattle Seahawks drafted Michael Dickson in the 2018 draft and signed him to a four-year, 2.75 million dollar contract.

Would the Chiefs be willing to part with a popular player in Colquitt? It is something that needs to be considered this offseason.
