CHIEFS TO RE-SIGN IN 2019 OFFSEASON – JORDAN LUCAS

This is another no brainer.

Jordan Lucas wasn’t a name many of us expected to step up and play well this year, but he did a nice job in the safety spot. Lucas had 32 tackles, two defended passes, and an interception in his first season at the helm for the Chiefs.

Lucas will be just 26 years old next season and showed he had potential this past season. We’re not sure what’s going to happen with Eric Berry (surgery has been reported) or if Daniel Sorensen and Eric Murray can carry the load. Also, will Armani Watts recover from his surgery and be able to contribute?

The Chiefs will obviously add safety talent through both free agency and in the draft, but re-signing Jordan Lucas is definitely something that needs to happen.
