Kansas City Chiefs: Four players to re-sign in 2019 offseason
The Kansas City Chiefs will have some difficult decisions to make this offseason. Which players will they opt to re-sign and keep in the organization for at least another year?
A successful season in 2018 means that Kansas City Chiefs fans are going to expect an even better campaign in 2019. To help with that, the Chiefs need to re-sign some of their players who otherwise will be hitting free agency this spring.
Who should the Chiefs keep in Kansas City in 2019 and potentially beyond? Let’s take a look.
CHIEFS TO RE-SIGN IN 2019 OFFSEASON – HARRISON BUTKER
Let’s start with an easy entry: Harrison Butker.
The Chiefs swiped Butker off the Panthers practice squad early in the 2017 season and he’s been gold ever since. In two seasons kicking for the Chiefs, Butler has a field goal percentage of 89.9%, going 62 of 69 on field goal attempts during that time.
Re-signing Harrison Butker is a no brainer.
We’ve seen how kicking woes can hurt a team, especially in the playoffs (looking at you, Chicago), so why would the Chiefs not bring Butker back? He’s proven he can hit the big time field goals and the kicker position is an underrated one in the league.
Butker has made it clear he wants to return to Chiefs Kingdom, so let’s get it done, Veach.
