Mizzou football all-time passing yards ranking: 3. Brad Smith (8,644)

While Brad Smith hasn’t played for Mizzou since 2005, most fans know who he is and for good reason. Smith spent all four years of his eligibility at Missouri and had 8,644 passing yards with 56 touchdowns and 32 interceptions.

Smith was a four-year starter while at Missouri and his best year actually came as a freshman in 2002. That season saw Smith throw for 2,333 yards, 15 touchdowns, and six interceptions while the Tigers went an underwhelming 5-7.

I mentioned on the last slide how James Franklin was great in the run game, but Smith put running quarterbacks on the map at Missouri. He had over 1,000 rushing yards in all but one season, with his most coming as a sophomore in 2003 (1,310 yards with 15 touchdowns).

MU was never a powerhouse while Brad Smith was there, but he made their offense a fun unit to watch with his ability to make plays. He still sits third all-time in passing yards.
