Mizzou football all-time passing yards ranking: 6. Blaine Gabbert (6,822)

The Missouri Tigers had three years of Blaine Gabbert from 2008-2010 and he was one of the best to roll through Columbia. Gabbert ended his three-year tenure with 6,822 passing yards, 40 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions.

Gabbert mostly strolled the sidelines as a freshman, but his sophomore and junior seasons were pretty darn good. He threw for 3,593 yards as a sophomore in 2009 and 3,186 yards in his final year with Mizzou.

His sophomore year proved to be his best and it’s too bad he couldn’t have gone pro after that. Fortunately for Missouri he stayed for another year and padded his collegiate stats. The Tigers were good in 2010, going 10-3 on the year with a 6-2 record in the Big 12.

Gabbert opted to forego his senior season and entered the 2011 NFL Draft where he was the tenth overall pick by the Jaguars. His pro career hasn’t been what MU fans had hoped for, but Gabbert is still in the NFL, spending time with the Jaguars, 49ers, and Titans.

He’s sixth all-time in passing yards for Missouri.
